A leather jacket is a key element to your wardrobe. This may be more of an investment but a great one. Be careful when looking. Go for a soft material that fits you well. A more versatile jacket would be one that sits well on your shoulders and a good length in the arms. Avoid broad shoulders and shorter sleeved or baggy, you can by the statement jacket if you have the extra funds. 

This is a sheer blouse that was my moms tucked into leggings. I paired this with tan booties to break the look of all black on black, wanted to avoid the biker look.

Directors Guild of America Awards

Partaking in the DGA awards, is a perk to being a DGA member and I feel very lucky to be surrounded by such talented people and experiencing moments of accomplishment amongst the great.

Of course we had to dress up in our fancy fanciest. I wore a vintage black sequins dress that was my moms. Don't be scared to look through your moms wardrobe from the past. You will probably find some gems, like this one.

I kept my nails simple for the occasion of polished, and my dress was enough a statement.
